An experienced insurance agent, Jerry joined The Buckner Company more than ten years ago. He has been working in the industry for 38 years. As a commercial agent, Jerry insures all types of clients, ranging from manufacturing, wholesale and retail, equipment dealers, contractors (including surety bonding). Jerry loves the insurance industry and prides himself in taking care of the insurance needs of his customers in a timely and accurate manner.

Jerry was the first person to receive the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in the State of Utah.

Jerry studied German at the University of Utah and at University of California Davis. He received his PhD in German Language and Literature from the University of Utah. He later went back to school to study Accounting and Marketing at the University of Utah.

Jerry and his wife, Cathy, are parents to seven children and grandparents to 26 grandchildren. Jerry is an avid skier, hiker and rock climber. He also loves to golf.
