Doug Ball joined The Buckner Company in 2009. He has been involved in the insurance industry since 1976--having worked for carrier companies and various other agencies. Doug's clients are extremely devoted to him
and his strong service-oriented manner of taking care of their needs. He specializes in providing risk reduction
solutions to his clients in construction, design professions, environmental and manufacturing industries.
Doug has had the opportunity to serve clients in international markets, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Angola and other countries. His expertise in surety bonds has helped him to gain a strong reputation as a dependable agent
among the construction, environmental and nuclear industries.
Doug currently serves as the Idaho State National Director of Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of
American (IIABA). He also is currently a Finance Committee Member for the IIABA. Doug is also involved with
Idaho State Insurance Fund, where he is actively serving on the Agent Advisory Committee. Over the years, Doug
has had the opportunity to serve on various other committees and boards within the insurance industry making
many connections and friendships.
A graduate of Boise State University, Doug earned his B.S. degree in Administration and Finance. He also has his Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.
Doug and his wife, Michelle, are parents to three children. He and Michelle are runners, avid mountain bikers and cross country skiers. Doug recently completed his 16th marathon!
