In 2006, Christian decided to join a regional broker with a creative, entrepreneurial culture and thus partnered with The Buckner Company. Prior to joining The Buckner Company, Christian Deputy started brokering commercial insurance in 2000 with Arthur J. Gallagher in San Francisco. He worked with well known clients like Palm, Adobe, Restoration Hardware, and the City of San Jose. In 2004, he moved to Utah and worked for Marsh, Salt Lake City. He focuses on helping clients make good, risk based, business decisions.

Christian uses a "business risk inventory" and "risk map" to help clients determine what risks they can properly manage as opposed to risks that are better transferred to an insurer or other 3rd party. He has experience working with small growth companies as well as large multi-national organizations.

A few of his current clients include: Cafe Rio, CHG Healthcare Services, Life Tree Clinical Research, Black Diamond Equipment, Backcountry.com, Wasatch Advisors, Swarmbuilder, InContact, and Naartjie.

In his spare time you can find Christian and his wife mountain biking, skiing, fly-fishing, and spending time with family. Christian has a B.A. in Finance from Utah State University.
