Blake Nilsson joined the Buckner family in 2008. Blake is a property and casualty agent. His general focus areas are non-construction commercial businesses, large property accounts, non-profit organizations professional liability and workers' compensation.

Prior to begin his career with The Buckner Company, Blake completed an internship with Risk Placement Services (RPS), a wholesale insurance brokerage in Salt Lake City. During this internship, Blake gained great insight to the insurance business.

Blake has excelled in the continuing insurance education courses he has taken part in. He is currently working toward obtaining his designation as a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC).

Blake is a graduate of Weber State University, where he earned a B.A. degree in Spanish, with a minor in Business Administration. He is involved with the Exchange Club of Ogden and various other community organizations in North Salt Lake, where he resides with his wife, Holly.

When Blake is not working, he enjoys traveling, exercising, golfing, reading, participating in sports, and spending time with family and friends.
